The good word

Muslims, have Taqwa of Allah, and worship Him in secret and in public, repent to Him that you may succeed.

Said Allah, Praise be to Him: "A good word ascends to him, and a good deed lifts it up"..

Muslims, the good word (al kalima attayyiba) demonstrates a man's courage, as it reveals what is hidden in his conscience, his heart and his chest, such as hatred, ignorance, hypocrisy or imam. This very word demonstrates the purity of his heart and the soundness of his mind. That is why the Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, let him say good or remain silent." It has been said that man is hidden under his tongue.

Servants of Allah, good speech is gain, and evil speech is loss. And Allah, Praise be to Him, set an example for both in the Qur'an saying:
"Do you not see how Allah compares the good word to a good tree whose root is firm and whose branches are in the sky? It yields its fruit in every age by the permission of its Lord. Allah sets examples for men so that they may remember. But a bad word is like a bad tree that is unrooted in the earth, without stability".
.

Believers, a good word has good in it, and man will be rewarded for it; and an evil word results in evil, obscenity and indecency. The one who utters it reaps nothing but evil deeds. For the people of the Tafsir, the good word is la ilaha Ila Lah, And no word equals it. The Prophet ﷺ said, "The best that I and the prophets before me have said is. la ilaha Ila Lah. It is the key to the Garden, and the way out of the darkness of kufr into the light of Islam and the Sunnah. Through this word you cleanse your heart of the shirkAnd with it you come from ignorance to knowledge. It is the one whose root is firm and whose branch is in heaven. Therefore, you find it in all the rituals of Islam. In the adhanin the iqamain salat, etc.

A good word is every word that brings good tidings, advice or happiness, by which you ease the pain of your brother, or by which you soothe the heart of a confused and lost person. Or you alert or teach every ignorant person. All these are considered as kalima tayyibaAllah raises up as He said: "A good word ascends to him, and a righteous deed exalts him"..

The good word is the pillar of Da'wah. That is why the Prophet ﷺ narrated it as. sadaqah And he said: "protect yourselves from the fire, even with half a date, and if you cannot, then with a good word". A good word is one that is enjoyed by the senses and does not overwhelm human nature or common sense. Give sadaqah and speaking good words are similar, for both bring joy to the heart. Rather, it is more useful than money because money runs out. And the Almighty said: "A convenient word and forgiveness is better than alms accompanied by grievance. Allah is Rich and Forgiving"..

And with the good word Prophet Muhammad ﷺ conveyed the message, and with it opened the hearts darkened by ignorance. Allah, may He be praised, said: "By a mercy from Allah, you were gentle with them; if you had been harsh, hard-hearted, they would have turned away from around you.". And he said to Musa and Harun, when he sent them to Pharaoh the tyrant: "And speak softly to him, maybe he will come to his senses and keep his guard up".. Servants of Allah, the essence of Islam is good treatment, whether in speech or in deed. Said Allah, may He be praised: "and speak nicely to the people".. And the Prophet ﷺ said: "The Muslim is the one from whose tongue and hand the Muslims are safe".

He started with the tongue because it hurts more than the hand. It has been said that scars on the tongue heal... But what hurts the tongue does not heal.

Weigh your words, believer, before you utter them. If they are good, utter them, and if they are bad, be silent. It has been said: "if speech is silver, silence is golden". And speak only what you would be pleased to see in a book that records everything.

Allahummah, protect our tongues from all blasphemy, obscenity and evil. Guide our words and deeds. Protect our limbs from every vice. Beautify our words, and make us of those who listen to speeches and follow the best of it. Amin
