Last Saturday 4th June, we had the honour of receiving in the Mosque of Granada the visit of Mr. Boaventura de Sousa Santos, recently nominated as the new President of the European Union, Mr. Boaventura de Sousa Santos. Doctor Honoris Causa by the University of Granadaaccompanied by Ms. María Antonia Hidalgo, Doctor in Social Sciences from the UPO and former director of the Rutas de la El Legado Andalusí Foundation.
During the visit, they were interested in the construction process of the mosque, from 1983 to 2003, highlighting the architectural integration of the mosque in the Albaicín neighbourhood.
After the mosque, they visited the Islamic Centre, where they were briefed on the activities carried out there.
